Secare Caput
€ 300,00
In “Secare Caput” (Latin: “to cut the head”), the ancient act of symbolic decapitation is reimagined through the lens of both Western esoteric tradition and Tibetan Vajrayana mysticism.
This is not violence for violence’s sake. This is Chöd—the spiritual practice of “cutting through the ego,” a radical form of offering oneself in full humility. In the Bon and Vajrayana Buddhist tradition, the practitioner visualizes giving up their body to feed demons, destroying attachments, fears, and false identity.
Here, the severed head, calm and dignified, is placed reverently in a golden Grail. The cup, filled with blood—becomes the vessel of transmutation, a sacred womb in which the old self dies so the True Self may emerge.
This work bridges the mystical East and the secret West. It merges the Chöd practice with Grail symbolism, inviting the viewer to contemplate the death of the ego, the transcendence of illusion, and the awakening of sacred knowledge buried in myth, blood, and ritual.
“Secare Caput” is a rite of personal alchemy — a Gnostic offering. It is the moment the seeker sacrifices himself on the altar of Truth.”
