Templar Revelation
€ 250,00
In this evocative and symbol-laden piece, Templar Revelation, Matei reveals a moment of inner awakening — a knight, bloodied yet illuminated, pierced by visions not of this world. His upward gaze speaks to divine contact or cosmic horror — the line between the two is thin, and therein lies the mystery.
At the heart of the piece is a Templar Knight, sword raised in reverence, branded by mystical emblems and burdened by ancient knowledge. His sword reads:
"In Hoc Signo Vinces" — In this sign, you will conquer — but at what cost?
Behind him, the All-Seeing Eye peers through a stained-glass rose window — not merely a Christian symbol, but a nod to the Watchers, those celestial beings who descended in forbidden union with mankind.
Beneath the sword coils a serpent — the eternal teacher and deceiver — beside a red rose, symbol of secret wisdom, love, and sacrifice. Together, they entwine meaning and death, temptation and enlightenment.
The Abraxas sigil on the knight's ring connects him to Gnostic traditions — where light and dark are not opposites but emanations of the same truth. His armor bears the skull and crossbones, not only a memento mori, but a mark of secret brotherhoods and resurrection rites.
This artwork is part of Matei’s occult series, where archetypes, mystical traditions, and forgotten truths surface through allegorical imagery.
A piece to meditate upon, not merely observe.
